Progress,

Basically what I have left to do,
-Design final area.
-3 bosses
-2 songs.
-Remaining sounds
-One tileset
-Apply tiles to rooms
-9 H-animations
-CGs (5?)
-Ending sequence
-Gallery

So, still quite a bit. If I hadn't been sick for the past week I'd probably have more done. But that's life -__-

If hiring an artist solves anything, I hope it solves that feeling of stagnation that always seems to hit near the end of a project. It's like the feeling you get when you've played the same game too many times. It just gets boring after a while. The benefit of working with other people is that I'll be making a game with assets that aren't all mine.

As for a demo, I'm not sure when I'll release one. Before the game is done, for sure, but I still don't want to go as far as applying tilesets until the layout is final. I'll probably release a demo after everything is made, but before doing the CGs, music, sound, and H animations that will be in later areas. Meaning the demo will probably be around 10 days before the full game is released.

  1. Cool, thanks for the info. Have a nice day.

  2. Take as long as you need. I'm sure it'll be worth it in the end.

  3. 10 days before game release? Sounds pretty good.
Indeed, you still have a bunch of work to do, but so is every game: step by step. Don't expect to do 9-H animations in one day.
Just like the anon over me said I would recommend you to not push yourself to release a demo as soon as possible.

    1. You don't make a song you create it

    2. i think kyrieru should make themes for all of the boss characters and also record himself doing the vocals for them

(i mean hey it wouldn't be that bad of an idea to give the bosses and characters in a hentai game backstories, right?)

    3. Most correct/common use would be to write a song. Not make, design, or create. >.>

    4. Personally, I prefer vocal-less tracks in the middle of a game unless it's 'sounds' rather than words. Ominous humming works well in some cases, for example.

Credits music though? Go for it.

    5. It would be compose a song, i make a trolly comment meant to be taken lightly and as a stupid joke and people be taking it seriously

    6. The music already exists, it is merely written down.

    7. I'd call it composing a song. However, with the way digital music works, "making" a song is probably the most accurate, since it can involve composition, writing, recording, and other aspects of production all at once.

    8. If you don't mind me asking, what do you use to make the music?
-since we're on that train of thought here, anyway.

  11. Hi Kyrieru,

I recall one of your previous blog posts where you went to a hospital for a blood transfusion/infusion.

Do you think that you might need to visit the doctor/hospital again?

  12. Do you think you'd ever make a more laid back H game? Not now obviously. But one which is more about exploring and interacting rather than being on your toes constantly...

    1. Well I'll probably never make a game like say...Chronicles of Alexstrasza, where it's only exploration and interaction. There will always be a more primary gameplay element, even if it's something laid back like fishing, or farming, etc. Not all my games will be incredibly difficult, at the very least.

    2. Ahaha... An H fishing game where you encounter Mermaids I think would be a cool idea. Or a farming game with Cowgirls and or Centaurs. *wink* *wink* *nudge* *nudge* Just throwing out some ideas for some possible future projects but it's up to you of course. They'd be smaller scale games probably.

  15. i bought your games on the english version of dlsite and frankly if a choice has to be made i would prefer if you kept selling your games there, the ideal however would be to have your games available for purchase on both offbeatr and dlsite.

    1. The game will be sold in as many places as possible, regardless of other methods I might use for pre-orders, or if I ever use something like offbeatr.

However, it's worth noting that DLsite takes over 50% from every sale, and steals from Circles. developers such as myself only use it because it's the only option, having the most active users. I make more from Dlsite than anywhere else despite the game being twice the price that it is here.
