Just a quick update,
I have some sleep issues, but most of my earlier health problems are manageable or gone now. (Hopefully it stays that way). Some new problems here and there, but I think I worry too much these days since I spent the last like 6 years wondering if I would ever even have a normal life again.
I haven't really been working on anything for a while. I've mostly been focusing on adjusting my diet, exercising, cleaning my house, and in general just getting a lot of things under control. Things got way out of hand over the years due to my health problems, so I'm making an effort to try and make my living conditions better in general.
I'm not sure when I'll be getting back to working on things. Probably a couple weeks at least. Once I do may actually start with some streams working on Lufuclad, since I've had the urge to work on it a bit lately. Kurovadis is still a bit of a question mark in my head. I'm still not sure how much I want to fix it up. Noaika still seems so far of given how much I still need to do in it. Obviously it's a mess having so many projects in the way that I think I "need" to do (which I don't), like Kurovadis. These days I don't have too many money issues, since Eroico has stayed very consistent, though it's hard to kick the feeling that I need to publish it in some form that is equal to Eroico at least.
Anyhow, that's all for now.
I can't wait for the streams, watching other artists and devs work is always super interesting!ReplyDelete
Also the difference in those screenshots is like day and night, I wasn't expecting such a big difference. Now it's more of a definitive edition than just "reworking it a little".
Health first, always. It's amazing how much diet alone can improve things, we don't realize how many of the things we eat are actually poison. Often it's things we wouldn't suspect, like wheat or spinach.ReplyDelete
Financially speaking, releasing an improved Kurovadis on Steam would probably be a decent move since the game is actually done and any improvement is just polish. Releasing it with minor work would yield a lot of money for little effort, and releasing it with a lot of polish would increase sales and inspire confidence in future games, so there's no wrong answer here.
Given how much work you've put into Noaika, though, it's going to have to be released eventually. It would be such a waste to let it rot away.
WOW...just WOW...i did expect much changes for the visuals, but this is something else. I hope that now people who said that the game was fine as it is will understand why people voted for renewal of everything. doesn't look like 100 times more appealing?ReplyDelete
+ as you can see he doesn't forget about health so I don't think that we need to worry about him overworking
P.S. do you already have a channel there you will stream?
Wow, those new visuals look great! That said, you should definitely focus on your health first. I'm sure the game will be great in time, but your personal well-being should take priority.ReplyDelete
Persistance beats resistance, getting away from your sicknesses and starting a steady workflow will help you a lot mentallyReplyDelete
All good things in balance.. I'm still working on the balance part.ReplyDelete
Happy to hear your doing better overall health/lifestyle wise. The games can wait.ReplyDelete
Thanks for the update.
do you have a list of emails that did not ask for a refund for Noaika? just curiousReplyDelete
I can't remember how many people pre-ordered, but so far only one person has asked for a refund.Delete
Because some are still waiting for you complete game asshole.
I share your desire, but definitely not your sentiment.Delete
same here, still waiting for itDelete
Everything that you've put out so far, regardless whether it was finished or very rough has been oozing quality so far and hits that very special niche where you can tell a person put care into their work. (re)releasing kurovadis on steam would be much welcomed but at this point i will shill you even if you put out trash, so please keep people like me in mind and just have fun with what you do :)ReplyDelete
Glad to read you're much more stable now, and you're working on your health. Health always comes first.ReplyDelete
Kurovadis(as memory stands) was a great game, and I think it stands well enough on its own. Lufuclad is still pretty early in development it seems, I'd look most forward to development on that front(tho I understand why you paused on it).
Noaika seems like it's the closest thing to completion, which is encouraging. Despite my interests, I think attacking Noaika would be best imo. Cheers, and good luck.
Heads up, can't buy Kurovadis from your store.
I'm a bit late to comment, I know, but I'm very excited, hoping to see Kurovadis on steam. I really enjoyed the Demo when I played it, but didn't buy the full version since I didn't really understand the site it was sold on. I would definitely buy Kurovadis very quickly if it popped up on Steam, as I greatly preferred it to Eroico.ReplyDelete
I'm glad you are getting better!ReplyDelete
I am excited to see things like LufuClad getting updated more! (:
Nothing to report yet, Kyrieru-san? The idea of "re-working" Kurovadis is a good idea and both Lufuclad and Noaika look like good games, too. I hope to see how these projects turn out in the end.ReplyDelete
datanony was post on august like this then went dead silent too.ReplyDelete
I hope this is just another case of one of Kyrieru hiatus. Especially after another dev just died from cancer recently.Delete
Just check their twitter and you'd see that Kyrieru was last seen very much alive 7 days ago.Delete
Research and investigation is the cure to your ailments.
I'll be honest I totally forgot he had a twitter. With how fake woke and toxic twitter has gotten, I've been avoiding it.Delete
Wait who died?Delete
Been quite a while since there's been any new info on this.ReplyDelete
He's still doing shit, as referenced by him talking about art related projects and techniques on twitter.Delete
None of his Twitter posts have any relation to Kurovadis at all. For all we know he literally could have not touched it since this last update. For something that, at one point, was stated to likely only take about a month, it's a bit disappointing.Delete
I'm a bit miffed that he hasn't given any updates in a while either, but ya don't gotta be rude about it. And when was that month estimate given? Before or after the vote to overhaul the combat and animations? Because that stuff will take a while.Delete
now I ain't saying things don't take time , I'm sure you're doing great work remastering this game , but there hasn't been an update and I'm low key scared you're going on hiatus again because you get side tracked on multiple projects.ReplyDelete
I'm actually wondering the same thing as the guy above me, it's been nearly five months without an update and I really wish I knew where the progress of this Kurovadis revamp is at. Hope you can eventually spare the time to update us all on an exciting new version for Kurovadis.ReplyDelete
Ever thought about selling the game's current build and code to an international H-game publisher to let one of their trusted devs finish it for the current and new fans?ReplyDelete
that doesn't happen in real life lmaoDelete
Good luck in 2022 with your projects either way, seems like covid was rough for you too.ReplyDelete
any plans to use this blog page again?ReplyDelete
According to Twitter posts from February, Kyrieru has been toying with 3D stuff. Mostly plants, by the looks of it.ReplyDelete
I may be overly optimistic but I'm still hoping for a Kurovadis release and maybe even an eventual Noaika release.
I bought Kurovadis many years ago. It was a really fun game, so I'm excited to see where this goes.ReplyDelete
are you okay?ReplyDelete
Whatever you're up to, I'm happy you're getting your life in order.ReplyDelete
You have given us plenty of cool stuff, so don't stress and take it easy. When you decide to pick things up again, we'll be here :-)
Kyrieru's last tweet to date was on March 22nd 2022, even though they are not posting here. Thought I would just let people know in case like me you guys were worried.ReplyDelete
Blog is abandoned?ReplyDelete
It appears so, but Kyrieru is sort of active on Twitter, even though his last post was on MarchDelete
Honestly, he does this quite a bit. He says he will post or is close to being done with a game and then disappears off the face of the planet. Then he pops up out of nowhere again.Delete
Yeah, it's just Kyrieru being Kyrieru. In a way that's more healthier than responding to everything nonstop, but a little "I'm alive" every 3 or 6 months would be welcomeDelete
Just checked my email and found Naoika's unlock code. It was 7 years old. loleReplyDelete
Yeah it's crazy how long it's been. It's even crazier considering Kyrieru threw his first two games together in just a couple of months. I'm glad I didn't pre-order Naoika back then because if I had I'd be really resentful right now.Delete
kyrieru has retiredReplyDelete
This post is almost a year old so that's pretty compelling evidence. Maybe he did retire. Or, god forbid, maybe he died. He was complaining about an undisclosed health issue.Delete
Kyrieru, if you're still alive please respond to this comment.
Their last tweet was March 22nd, 2022. So hopefully they are doing okay and are just staying off social media.Delete
golwas, if he "died" almost a year ago, then who is running his tweeter? xDDelete
It's not uncommon for Kyrieru to disappear for a long time, only posting random stuff every few months on tweeter and once there is something to report about games here.
Any news to debunk rumors would be appreciated tho' that's for sure
I eagerly await the day Ky returns and shows us all the incredible looking half-finished stuff he abandonedReplyDelete
I still check this site and twitter nearly every day. You've got fans Kyrieru! No one does anything close to the quality you put out, so it's okay if you take your time. I'll still be here.Delete
Let's be honest here. It's been a year since he's interacted with this site in any way, and five months since his last Tweet. More than likely, he's abandoned making games in general, and just hasn't announced it to avoid having people demand their money back. It sucks, but that's probably the real truth.Delete
This is like the third or fourth time he disappeared for over a year with no word or trace.Delete
Ok it's formal I think he died or at least that's what it seems with so many health problems he has or had.ReplyDelete
This happens all the time, the phrase "Kyrieru is dead" is a meme, I believe he'll be back but I don't think he'll ever finish another game in his lifetime at this rate.ReplyDelete
I don't think he's ever vanished for over a year without so much as a peep before.Delete
I want to believe that he's just been working silently while enjoying a new, fulfilling, healthy life, and that he'll come back any month now with a new build of lufuclad where you can manipulate seperate tribes of monstergirls into big lesbian rape wars.
But realisitically, he probably decided to take a break from game dev, or has spontaneously dropped dead.
Yes he has, multiple times. This isn't new, unfortunately.Delete
hi guys does anyone know if the game was delayed?ReplyDelete
i dont wanna be rude but the wait is getting a bit painful
Ky seems to have either completely disappeared or his health finally caught up with him (though, we certainly hope not).Delete
Are you ok, Ky?ReplyDelete
The radio silence is indeed quite worryingDelete
He died ,…. RipReplyDelete
i died lolReplyDelete
my condolences kyrieru hope your death wasn't painfulDelete
He's gonna end up like ChesireCat lmaoReplyDelete
getting thing together and bring them down to the grave lolReplyDelete
Lufuclad game is very cool, when will you keep updating?ReplyDelete
Dear developer, you have a natural talent for pixel h games, I ask everyone not to take time for 3d, it’s better to continue the Lufuclad project, you had such plans for this game in 2020, try to return it, I belittle it😭ReplyDelete
One more thing, create a Discord channel, it's not convenient on such sites and twitters)))
Let's start a riot so he gets Lufuclad back lol)ReplyDelete
all the riots in the world can't bring a corpse out of the groundReplyDelete
Honestly, an update on anything is well in order at this point. All these health scares leave us expecting the worst.ReplyDelete
happy halloween, kyrie. maybe if we all chant together we can bring him back as a skeletonReplyDelete
I can't take this anymore. Under penalty of being banned, since kyrieru never cleared it I'm just gonna go ahead and say I had email correspondence with them some months ago. It was some time after their most recent post (ie this one ^ ). I'll have to find it later to get an exact date and time for you all. This doesn't mean some sort of tragedy hasn't happened since then, but it does mean they were at least alive at the time I wrote them... I hope they are still okay.ReplyDelete
How long exactly? Kyrieru's last post on Twitter, which as far as I know is the last trace we have, was in late March, which would make it about seven and a half months ago.ReplyDelete
It's... kind of normal to not get any news for months at a time, but this is abnormally long and with this disease running around, and Kyrieru's operations for chronic health issues, it's easy to assume the worst.
I hope he is ok, as much as we want to see games I obvs would prefer that he is first well. If you're reading this Kyrieru please take care of yourself! And don't feel bad if you can't do much work, health comes first!Delete
It's easy to miss, but Kyrieru's newest Tweet actually dates back to June 16th. Since it's a reply, it isn't listed in the main feed. And in the Tweet before that, from June 12th, they do give some small insight into their current situation. As far as I can tell, their general health does seem to have improved slightly, but there have been a lot of new problems on other fronts, so they are currently trying to adjust in response to that.Delete
Kyrieru, if you are reading this: Sorry for plowing through your social media like a headhunter. I wish you all the best and most importantly the power and confidence needed for the challenges you are currently facing. From what I've gathered things seem to suck a lot right now, but I believe in you and your ability to find solutions for whatever problems are obstructing your path. You're a programmer and game designer after all, one of the most constructive, creative and persistant kind of people I know. Don't lose faith, hurdles and roadblocks fear people like you. You got this.
He made a post on October 7th in regards to game development so it's only been two months since he's been last heard from.Delete
Github for issues with the various tools he uses.Delete
Hey guys, sorry I haven't posted in a while.ReplyDelete
I'm still dead, lol
Glad to hear you're still around! Eroico was my favorite H-Game that inspired a lot more like it.Delete
Thanks, hope you get back on your feet.
That's not Kyrieru, that's someone who's just used his name.ReplyDelete
Yes! Oh wow. I had pretty much given up hope. But Kyrieru really is alive and apparently getting a bit better. Just needs to eat some meat and everything will be fine.Delete
To Anonymous: Thank you for sharing! I'd not have seen that if it weren't for you.ReplyDelete
To Kyrieru: Thanks a ton as well for your update on Twitter! Continued wishes for strength, endurance and positive thoughts in your battle against the resilient demons a mind can produce. They can suck and usually they do, a lot, as mundane as they might appear. They can be clingy and noisy and hurtful. But also, they always can be shown their place. It might take a few tries and tricks, but it's certainly possible. And I'm positve you'll show them.
If the litter of anonymouses creepily breathing onto the other site of your (digital) window and overanalyzing every social media post of the last year while most certainly donning a pair of glasses and a lab coat while doing so should tell you anything, it's that there are people thinking about you. (And that my ability to write short and understandable sentences is in a similar plane of existence as Schrödinger's cat.) In other words, you're not alone in this. And with a little luck these thoughts might even butterfly-effect themselves as positive influences into your life, who knows? (Possibly deterministic universe, yadayada...)
One thing, before I'll end my annoying rambling: If you feel that the time away from your blog and social media has been to the benefit of your (mental) health, of course, continue to invest your attention into things that do you more good. While a life sign once in a while surely would be much appreciated, you don't owe anybody here and shouldn't feel pressured into doing anything you're not feeling up to.
On the contrary however, if you have the urge to write anything, don't stop yourself with any thoughts of having to show some work beforehand. It might be due to the inherent ambiguity of written text, but your latest tweet reads a little like you're hesitant to communicate before you can present anything in relation to your development projects. While this is just one interpretation and I may as well be totally wrong, I nevertheless feel the need to stress that you are not the worth of your work and go beyond that. The people that flock around your online presences may be, at least partially, a bunch of strangers and initially gathered around you because of the stuff you make and the news you share about it. But that doesn't mean the interest and care of us is limited to just that or that development updates are everything that you are "allowed" to share. Sometimes telling a story to strangers even can have it's benefits, exactly because they don't know you - you may benefit from their different perspective and inputs, but also from the distance to the real person "you" behind the keybord, unlike a relative or friend in real life.
If you wish to tell about your latest contact with some piece of media, do that. If you want to rant about some crappy game design you encountered somewhere, do that. If you'd like to get some real life experiences, frustrations or successes, off your chest, do that. If you just want to post a scribble of a flying garlic with giant ears (for some reason i can't imagine right now), do that. Whatever makes you happy. There's no prerequisitive to that. None. You might view this as detour in a development blog or the like, but if it makes your day a better one, it's definitely a detour worth taking.
So, basically, if you're feeling very motivated right now to tell me to finally shut up and gtfo, go with that flow and don't worry about anything else for now. ;)
bro shut the fuck upDelete
i can't believe im finally released from visiting this blogspot...ReplyDelete
noaika never ever, finally
naw man, check the tweet https://twitter.com/Kyrieru/status/1603522910563475459?s=20&t=zqwvfOyZA_2qsreA4Q7szQDelete
now that he's refreshed his alive-status, you cannot be freed until 2024
god, make it stop. make it endDelete
noaika will never be as good as i imagined it will be
who even cares about noaika man, lufuclad is the real shitDelete
lufuclad is uninteresting and unfocusedDelete
If you're not going to be active on your own blog you could just ask a friend to shoulder that task for you. This radio silence really just sucks and I wonder what happened to that Kurovadis revamp.ReplyDelete
He has nothing to show because he keeps making WIP after WIP because he's braindead and forgot how to finish his fucking projects.Delete
Your father is the mailman and your mother is frequently mistaken as exotic wildlife.Delete
I've thought of the same thing and maybe you should pitch this to Kyrieru by letting him know on his Twitter. This radio silence is getting riculous and frankly I just want him to say he has something to show for itDelete
