Yes.

Just did a tutorial (of sorts)
http://www.kyrieru.com/p/basic-for-characters.html

Started to do the first animation tutorial but there were a couple small points I wanted to cover concerning drawing characters with guidelines/shapes first.

As for Patreon, a couple of the animations are almost done. If I don't think I'll finish the thing I'm working on by the end of the month, I'll make sure to have 1-2 animations posted instead. Either way, I'll have the image for the image draw done before then, since it's a higher priority than either.

Yes, I'm working on Noaika.

  1. Good on yah mate! Good to see an update post.

  2. As one of those "are we there yet?"-guys, I thank you for this update ^^

  3. Are all of those animations coming up going to be animated frame by frame now? :D

  4. To be honest. I'm just interested into the new game.

  5. Top quality "weekly animation." He sets another deadline for himself that he knows he wont meet, then proceeds to ignore it and spit in everybody's face. The audacity of this guy to expect people to give him money every month when he wont deliver anything he says...

    2. But...it's per animation rather than monthly, though?

    3. It's not like he's got a gun to anyone's head. You're free to be disappointed and all that but he certainly doesn't "expect people to give him money" if you've read any of his replies to anything.

Patreon is per animation so really he can't actually make any more than he's delivered. Chill out.

  6. Yay, an update and animations promised before the thing, nice.

I'd guess the thing is either a Noaika demo or a prototype of the Patreon game, but not hoping for too much so I'm not disappointed.

  11. Tis' a sad day when you're being outpaced by HentaiWriter.

    Shame on you

    1. Unless FF is larger than Noaika (which I sincerely doubt, based on the amount of content in the demo), then no. Anybody could outpace me if it just means releasing smaller projects. Can't speak for the quality, though, since I haven't actually played it yet.

    2. Honestly, in my absolutely no programming experience at all and no game design experience at all and no ANY experience at all except for playing games...the 'progress' between their first demo and this new and improved one...doesn't really feel like that much for how long they spent on it.
The 3 attack combo turned into a mega buster kinda thing, there's lava now, there's voices now, and the boss was changed. But other than that, I don't feel like a whole lot was done in the long months they spent working on it.
Ky completely overhauled his character into a larger and even more impressive sprite than before, and I'm sure the rest of the enemy sprites too. So being outpaced...is not something I think that's happening.
Not to say that Ky doesn't procrastinate the hell out of everything he does lol

    3. It's quite good. Standard GOR fare, not too much depth so far, but it's good for what it is. The art is probably the best part, the english voice acting is actually not cringeworthy as I feared and actually a nice change after all the "yamete", "itai", "kimochi" ^__^ The boss of the demo has a nice extended scene when the heroine wakes up after it catches her, even if it can't really be called a boss "fight", more like "run and break obstacles in a not very intuitive way".

    4. Don't listen to this guy, ky. I tried FF's new demo, and got bored and quit within five minutes. It's not a race, but even if it was, you're miles ahead of FF's team just by understanding what a fun and polished game is actually about.

    5. Well, we'll see when it's done -__-

    6. Well we'll see in 2020

    7. I tested Future Fragment new demo and ... well, in my opinion, even it's a improvement from the first demo, it's still a mess in term of level design.

When I tested Noaika demo there was an ambiance. There were something special, and I wanted to explore the demo.

With Future Fragment, well I don't want to explore, I just want to rush the levels to arrive as soon as possible to the boss. Not really fun.
And don't get me wrong, it's not a bad game, just ... not what I was expected from it. But it's still in development, so perhaps there will other improvement.

So, yeah. Even if he take a lot of time before releasing Noaika, I don't think HentaiWriter outpaced Kyrieru. Don't forget that Future Fragment is the first game from HentaiWriter and his team. Noaika is the third game from Kyrieru (if we don't count the other that was canceled). So I think it safe to say that Kyrieru has more experience in making a good game.

But as you said Kyrieru, we'll see when it's done. =D

Well, back to wait Fallout 4 then. ^_^

    8. I think you guys are being a little too strict to their team, considering it's their first game together. Yep, it did feel like a bunch of not too great stages put together to get to the ending and a boss that is not fun and quite repetitive. Compared to games that define the genre. But as I see it , it's already miles above majority of action shite on Dlsite that is often just an excuse to get to the H where you can barely jump properly. Also, as I said, the art and hence, the H is rather decent.

Plus, it's in English people. The slow rise of English H-games makes me excited for a future when we can actually choose ^__^

    9. I personally didn't like FF, the level design was boring, and there were too many levels and puzzles that just dragged on only to extend the life of the demo. I ignored the story because the databanks thing was stupid, too much text in these things because they can't work the story around it.

Some scenes were great though, like the one of Mage B and the soldier.

Honestly the only good thing about FF is the art but a lot of people will forgive the glaring problems with the rest of the game just because "it's in english guys!".

      Delete
    10. I enjoyed the levels more than in Iris Action at least... And that is a game I like for its H, the same like FF will probably end up for me.

Yup, the databanks are not very interesting to read but you can skip those entirely.

    11. I mean, if you guys want to give them feedback, they have a topic on ULMF -__-
I don't know how far into development they are, but feedback can make a big difference. For example, what about the level design do you not like?
      Enemy placement?
      The way enemies spawn?
      Sound effects?
Lack of non-essential powerups to find?
Not enough background elements to distinguish areas?

Whatever it is, let them know, and it's possible that they can make some changes, or keep those things in mind in the future when designing levels. While level design can be time consuming, it's not set in stone, and specific feedback can result in specific changes, (For example in Noaika people thought a certain jump was too far, and so I just made it less far -__-)

Like I said, I'll just play it when it's done, because from now until then it could change a lot.

    12. Hentaiwriter doesn't listen to people. He thinks he knows what's best. I don't think the other two guys need him. Sorry you got all these FF comments on your blog. You're the main point here, but all you've been doing is "working on it"

      Delete
    13. Nah, I don't care when people talk about other stuff here. It just sort of felt like talking about someone behind their back somehow, when it would be easy enough to give them feedback.

As for me, I don't expect people to talk about what I'm doing until I do something worth talking about -__-

      Delete
    14. Sometimes, honest "feedback" given by people who think you can't see them can be valuable too :D

    15. I'd like to give critical feedback on FF, but the last time I did it on ulmf, I got bitched at by a few people and the creator seemed to wave it off since most of what you see there is people gushing over how amazing it is. It's not an ideal atmosphere for anything other than a yes man. Conversely, some of the comments I've seen here practically mirror exactly what I would want to say about it.

That all being said, I'm not really looking forward to FF, but I've been waiting impatiently for Noaika and I'm always sad when I see a blog update here and it's never mentioned. I think we're now within a few days of a years' time when preorders first opened up for it (which I immediately jumped on). I think I'm just going to stop visiting and try to block it out of my mind, since I've noticed that Kyrieru's getting a little feisty whenever anyone brings it up any more and it's just going to leave everyone in a shitty mood.

    16. also, hasn't the ulmf thread for FF been locked/closed for a long time now? if you wanted to give feedback you'd have to pm or go to their tumblr or something

  20. Hi kyrieru. I did found this post on Ulmf, and i would be grateful if you would take 5 minutes of your time to explain someone what's likely to be, the life of an hentai game developer, regardless of his experience, to a certain someone, please.

    4. I'd say piracy is the biggest problem in the h-game industry. Many of the most popular, widely acclaimed games have only a few thousand copies sold. Maybe people that like niches like furry and futa are more likely to pay for the game, and that's why they're becoming more common.

      Delete
    5. Pretty sure he was just saying something divisive as a joke -__-
Also, they aren't really that common, anyway. There's been maybe 2-3 futa games and no real furry games.(H-action, and on DLsite)

      Delete
    6. Well in the western market it's almost only furry. So yes.

      Delete
    7. Oh boy. Probably would be for the better if we didn't feed this one Mr. Kyrieru...

And I'm speaking as someone who also tries to avoid both futa and furry at all costs.
