doodling

I did a random sprite today to see if I could imitate the style of a certain H game. (I'm sure you can guess which one)

Surprisingly, doing sprites in this style doesn't actually take all that long since there's more emphasis on drawing the lineart. Animation on the other hand, I can only guess. Assuming there's less frames, it might take pretty much the same amount of time as what I'm used to.

Perhaps I'll do something in this style later on. I doubt I'd go with proportions as realistic as the original artist did, though. (He's waaaay better at drawing correct anatomy than I am. And just in general -___-)

  1. This is really nice. I imagine animating in a more detailed style would be more complex, but It'd look really awesome. I'd love to see something in this style at some point. ;)

  2. I love all your pixel art, Kyrieru. Are you self-taught or did you go to art school of some kind? By the way I'm a huge fan of Kurovadis. It's a great game even without the H content. I'm excited for your future projects!

  4. xD I don't know what to guess for the game either. I'm not a big h-game followermobob.

But whatever game it's from, the style looks good. :3

  6. I guess I am not as verse in H-games as you are Kyrieru since this style is over my head. Though, it's fairly nice, but I'd imagine it could prove to be more demanding in certain situations (h-content).

One particular thing strikes me as unusual with the style: Why is the "outline" so sporadic? It seems that some is left black while the other is left to "bleed".

    1. Black is used in certain places (such as where lines intersect) to make some of the other colors pop a bit more.

  7. It's not Unholy Sanctuary, is it? Because I don't know any other hentai game that might look vaguely similiar. I would love to know the answer though.

And I really like the sprite. It's especially impressive because you just did it as a "doodle". I am so looking forward to your next project.
