VR Midna sim

(Should work with Steam VR now, if you set the controls in the SteamVR window)

A while back I messed around with VR in Blender. I was annoyed with the lack of tracking, and so decided to try making a VR template for characters in Unity. I recently came back to it and got things working (Programmer I mentioned before also helped with certain problems)

So, here is a little VR sim, currently with Midna. I will probably release the project file once it's a little more developed. (Though who knows when that will be, since this project is just for fun)

For this to work, you must have a VR headset. It may also only work on particular Occulus versions, due to the controls, though this would be the first thing I fix.

Controls:
A button: Move the view
Trigger 1: Grab and drag limbs, or the character by clicking on her hips.
Trigger 2: Hold and press left/right to spawn a dick and change it's size. Press up/down to change it's offset. She will thrust if over top of it.

There are a few things I plan on adding to it over time. Feel free to suggest stuff, though keep in mind that I'm not a wizard programmer, and some quirks are merely a matter of "I couldn't get it to work".

    1. This is happening for me as well, and it doesn't seem to be starting in SteamVR either

    2. I'll be switching over to a different VR system in Unity, which will hopefully make it work with everything.

So THIS is where all the budget for Noaika went! You traitor!

In all seriousness, I'm surprised you're doing VR. Was it hard? I might be getting on in the years, but I thought it would be like using alien technology.

    1. Unity has plugins that handle a lot of the hard stuff for you (head tracking, hand tracking, hardware). I had no real experience with unity, and was able to get that aspect up and running in a few hours. The rest was mostly trying to figure out weird rotation problems.

  5. It's a great concept, and I'm looking forward to more!

I'm able to confirm that the game boots up in steamVR (HTC VIVE), but the game isn't registering any control input (it technically IS registering, since the controller vibrates, and I see the small circle, but nothing happens even when I pull the trigger or press any buttons)

    1. You must configure the controls through Steam VR.

  8. I'm using index and I can't for the life of me get the controls working, despite manually binding the inputs.
