Result of surgical procedure, plans.

I'm back home, still in recovery from surgery.

It will a while before I can judge the long term success of the surgery, but for now, after a couple weeks of recovery I am already able to work normally for the most part (compared to before the procedure, where I could barely work at all).

My first priority will be getting the Steam release of Kurovadis out of the way. Hopefully it doesn't take longer than a month, since I want to get the ball rolling on everything. However I need to do it first given that my inactivity has put a strain on my income (that and the cost of the surgery).

The hard part will be restraining myself from working all day given how long I've been unable to work, however I need to try and balance work with exercise, and take advantage of my current good condition to make sure this doesn't all just happen again in a few months, let alone a few years.

Anyhow, that's all for now. Once I am fully recovered I may try streaming stuff as I work. I have a walking treadmill I can stick in front of my desk, so maybe I'll try and take an hour or so each day to stream while working, and make a habit out of it.

  7. Good to hear you're recovering. :)
I don't know your specific problems, but I've heard a lot of good things about keto and carnivore diets. Apparently sugar and carbs are at the root of most people's health problems, from diabetes to cancer and other issues too. It's a really difficult diet though and I struggle a lot with it myself.

  8. Glad to hear some good news for you, even if it's still a work in progress. I think I already have all of your games, but I'm eager to support you, so maybe some stream subs will do the trick. You did make one of my favorite games ever, afterall.

  11. I'm glad you mentioned balancing work with exercise. It would've meant nothing if you didn't prioritise the condition of your own body. I'm glad you're back though.
Keep looking after yourself and the work that comes with it will get easier and easier too so long as you pace yourself accordingly.

    1. If I remember correctly he may make it into a full game and dedicate a full dev time to it, as it was becoming harder to deal with bugs while adding new stuff, while only working on it one day of the week. Take what I say with a grain of salt but I think he said he may go back to it after he releases noika.

    2. I will be working on it as a full game at some point, rather than as a weekly game. However I don't know what the priority of it will be over other projects.

  15. Welcome back into the world of the living ! Take care of your health first and foremost, that's what's most important !
As for the money aspect, maybe you could open up a patreon, a gofundme or something similar ? I'm sure there would be plenty of people willing to support you.
    Keep getting better !

  17. THE MAN

    HE LIVES

I was checking out you're tutorial (learned a ton by the way) when the dread started to kick in, but I've had trouble with "ripping away" from my work too so here's something that may help.
Actions can be tied to locations, it's the 2nd reason gyms are popular, if you have a room or place you always do something then it's easier to get into it, and if you don't need to do it then just leave that space.

Nothing is as important than being happy in life and health aids that to a great amount.

  20. Welcome back, glad to hear you're better.

Is the Steam version of Kurovadis going to feature any updates like the new game over screens you posted earlier? I am probably going to buy it regardless to support

  24. I think at this point I've purchased Kurovadis 4 times accidentally and/or when trying to keep all my games on one or two reliable sites! On Steam it will be the 5th! But if helping a skilled artist and designer keep that creative flame going then it's never a waste!

  28. Hey kyrieru! Glad to see you're alive man. Do you have a twitch or youtube channel or something like that where you might stream stuff? If yes then can you please tell me? Thanks!

    P.s: do you pay taxes?

  30. I know it's a bit late, but I hope you to recover asap and get your stuff on Steam. Though it's kinda hard to earn some money these days since covid, I still try to get some funds on Steam just to buy your games, though I've played them bunch before through some piracy sites. I know they aren't something developers want to know about, but I think that they made it possible to your work reach more people and they might be just like me, that when I like any game, I buy it so I can give my support to their developers. I hope you get better soon and to get back to Noaika (I've been on it for quite a while already) haha
