Work log

For the work log, I'll be laying out what I plan on working on for the day. Completed tasks will be gray'd out, and if everything on the list is completed, I'll add more.

Some of you also noticed that yesterday I mentioned I was working on adding X-ray graphics. To clarify, there will be an H-content menu where you will be able to disable any kind of content or fetish in the game. This includes changing if H animations do damage, among other things.

  1. Having a lot of enable/disable options seems great. That would sidestep a lot of potential complaints.

Also, will you be adding a CG gallery and enemy arena in this game, as with Eroico? Just thought I'd ask.

    1. Yeah I agree. The option list does help deal with a bunch of the potential issues, though balance problems may arise with whether or not the sex does damage.

  2. I'll be looking forward to this!
I even went and bought Kurovadis and Erocio again. I could've probably tried to find the emails from when I bought them before but eeeeeh...

  3. It would be great if the player can select if the H-content hurt or not because I think that if the hero is hurt by the H-content, then it's like giving a reward for being hurt and so the player won't play the game but will play "let's hurt the hero on a lot of different things!", what's exactly what's make me play more Eroico than Kurovadis: on Eroico the goal is more to progress in the game to win more content than to be killed and win a picture.

  4. Another thumbs up for the optionally harmless sex.

  5. So, wait, is this the metroidvania or the super mario world-esque one?

    1. Super mario world esque, but it has metroidvania elements. Or you could say it's neither at this point.

  6. What are X-ray graphics? Could someone explain for me?

    1. X-rays are for seeing broken bones and stuff in real life, for the game it probably means a box that shows inside the vagina when the enemy cums

    2. Ah. And here I was imagining skeletons having sex.

    3. Gives new meaning to the term "getting boned".

  7. I like how you've got the work log set up along the blog's side. I actually hadn't noticed until now, and was waiting for another post, lol.

  9. You're really outdoing yourself with this game Kyrieru. Adding some toggles and such. Especially X-ray!
Quick question, are you doing the x-ray on the sprites? If so, will it be an overlay or in a little side window?

    1. It'll be a separate window off to the side.

    2. Nice, I do prefer it that way.

  10. I thought composing a song would take a longer time. I like the options to turn certain h scenes off or on. You can have vore, scat and guro in your game, and players can filter that garbage out. No offense shit lovers.

    1. Composing surprisingly does not from what I've seen. I assume it all just comes together since they are logical branches of notes and sounds.

    2. I'll never have scat or gore. Vore is barely there at best.

The song I made was somewhat short, and not too complicated. Level songs usually take a bit longer.

    3. It's good to know that your games won't have that kind of content. Maybe I'll just have to filter out vore. Unless tentacles are involved somehow.

    4. To clarify, when I say light vore I basically mean it's just sex inside of something, or being completely enveloped. In other words, it's vore but without the whole "eating and digesting" part -__-

    5. I'm totally with vore if it's like in Kurovadis or Lab Still Alive :D

  11. disabling fetishes eh? I like it! Let's it be brought down so that others can enjoy!

  12. That are some very need ideas you have there. It'll cost a lot of work, but it will be worth it, I bet. That counts for the work log, for the settings you're providing for the H-content, and of cause for the x-ray idea. Personally I like all the mentioned features so far because of multiple reasons. Thumbs up and as stress-less work as possible to you.

  15. Man, I loved your Eroico game cuz' I love Monster Girl genre. Hope you do something similar in the future. We have enough vanilla guys raping girls already...

  16. When can we get an overture mega mix with all the characters from your games? I'd pay top dollar >:-}

  17. Genius idea. Some games have already had the ability to turn off certain content (usually ryona, vore, guro; e.g. Iris Action, you can turn off ryona in general; MGQ, you can shut off vore), but to be able to select it for EVERY element is definitely going to be a plus for those who are squicked by certain things.

Also, being able to change whether H does damage is interesting in concept, but if there are GOR CGs, then obviously that would make the option avoided by 100% competionists. Unless you do something like making the CGs unlocked in the gallery (assuming there is one) simply by being hit by the attack in question (you don't have to die). Naturally, shutting off H damage would also make the game easier, so that provides an extra potential difficulty option -- depending on how easy it is to avoid.

One question, though. Will this game have leveling like Kurovadis did? If so, will it be possible to raise defense, and if so, will H-damage (if enabled) be reduced in that way? One thing I liked about Kurovadis was that you could powerlevel and pump your defense and HP so ungodly high to where, out of what H did damage, you could render all but two pretty much scratch damage. (And for one of them, it's just the case that the damage is so high that it would take you months to powerlevel to the point where you could survive it...) And if you didn't want to play that way? You could always play an offense-oriented game and become a vulnerable, risk-taking glass cannon. All depends on whether you want to feel powerful or vulnerable...

    1. There's no leveling up in this one.

    2. Ah, oh well. Still interested. Though this does make it pretty clear that disabling H-damage is going to make a bigger difference in the game's difficulty, especially if you can fall prone at will like you could in the previous games. With Kurovadis it wasn't that big of an issue, but in Eroico, the H key was actually quite overpowered in a few spots because not only did you never take damage from H, but you received *mercy invincibility* after you got up. And your limited character growth (especially in the defensive department) meant that you can't afford to take much in the way of damage.

One guess where the fall-down key totally broke the game's balance in Eroico.
