Well, there's good news and there's bad news,

The bad news is that I spent a lot the time I was supposed be animating trying to get something sound related to work in Flash, as well as trying to get used to different pixel art programs. As a result I wasn't able to finish this week's animation in time. Instead, I'm going to have to push it back a day or two (won't be a paid post until then).

Here's a preview of it though. There will also be a simple background, since she's laying on a surface.













The good news is that I got some help from a programmer, and he was able to do what I needed in Flash. He wrote a script that I'll be able to re-use throughout the animations. (Now if only I got someone to do it for me BEFORE I wasted so much time trying myself -___-)

I also tried Aesprite, and it's meeting most of my "requirements" for pixel art. It's what I'll be using from now on for H-animation...animation. Though I may still do the base frame in GM for a while until I'm completely comfortable with it.

      Ugh, when I played OoT, I always used to think Zelda used magic to transform into a male when disguised as Sheik due to how different Sheik looks. So, for me, this is a bit of a dodgy territory and I see no point of not going for Zelda instead...

      Although, I'm all for Zelda in a damaged Sheik outfit and chest binding burst open. Also Bongo Bongo >:)

      Well, for those who see Sheik as female (I do), and for those who like cool, or tomboyish characters (Me again), Sheik is an appealing character design..

      I'd take Sheik Or Tetra over Zelda's normal design any day. But then that comes down to personal taste.

      I'm not saying anything against tomboyish designs, you don't see me starting a vote for "normal Zelda" and I would vote for Tetra any day. Dunno, maybe it's just my nostalgia speaking. The old official art definitely makes Sheik appear male. In the end, if she looks female, I'm sure I'll like it.

      I mean, people are just going to think whatever they find more appealing.The fact that sheik looks male in the original artwork doesn't really say much either way, since at the end of the day it's a disguise that's meant to fool people (including the player). Whether it's magic or a physical disguise is impossible to determine through canon media. Even a word from the devs is meaningless, since chances are at the time it wasn't important to them.

      For me, I see Sheik as female because I find the concept of it being Zelda in a disguise cooler, and because of the gossip stone that mentions that Zelda is a tomboy. For others, there are people who actually find it difficult to see a character as female if they've become familiar with them as a "male", even if it's literally shown to have been a physical disguise, so it's understandable that a lot of people wouldn't even consider the possibility that Sheik was female underneath the clothing..

Bongo Bongo would be okay. . . though I still say any other humanoid enemy would be better. Easy choice there is Ganon, but that's kinda boring and you see a lot of that everywhere.

      You know what I'd like? If Korra and Asami had ankles of one leg chained together so if one closed her legs, the other remains wide open.       While a few different health issues have been slowing me down (And my attempts to deal with them), Noaika is a much different game from when I started, with far more content than I originally planned. It isn't going to be just another Eroico/Kurovadis sized game. Hell, the resolution of the characters isn't the same as when it started, either, but I'll be talking about that more once I show some screenshots.

      He is still working on Noaika, just does not want to show too much to not spoil your fun. But according to previous post he will be posting some screenshots soon.

      To be fair, not everyone reads previous posts, or reads comments, so it's understandable that a lot of people don't know what I'm up to. All they know is there was a demo like a year+ ago and nothing has happened since.

      For some people, simply hearing that it's still being worked on isn't enough to make them feel comfortable. I personally like to at least see something with my own eyes, but I'm not going to die over the wait, either, so don't take my comment as an attack.

      And if you're wondering, yes, I preordered it back when preorders were first announced (ten months ago) and wonder how many of the people who attack those who ask about Noakia didn't. I do get a little agitated when someone's like, "Shut up about Noakia and enjoy the free stuff!" I gave money in advance because I had faith in the game and really enjoyed what I saw of it back then, so of course I'm going to really want to see more of it and hope it's out as soon as possible.

      I didn't think we'd be here ten months later without any new screenshots or anything, but like I said, I'll live. I just feel a little stupid since I always say I avoid Patreon and Kickstarter because you're paying for something that might not even end up existing. It's a good exercise in patience, either way.

      Thank you for the response Kyreiru and yes I did try checking for posts regarding the game, just haydn't been thought to use the search function rather than the visual skimming of 100+ posts.

      Definitely having an itch for your games, Eroico is hands down one of my favorites as it has the best challenging gameplay and has that delightful male reverse rape theme.

      As for your health, cheers dear sir, we all are getting older. :-X

      I understand that you are eager to see Noaika finished. But artwork takes time. Even more so when you throw it into a world with game mechanics and sound.

      I'm actually thankful that he's taking his time. Having made a small game myself I know how much time and effort goes into one. That extra polish can make a huge difference!

      At least he is being active and hasn't fallen into the dead zone. And hes funding himself in a non time consuming way that lets us see some work being produced.

      I was never really intending to replace GM for game development itself. I was just looking for a sprite editor that I could use for certain things. For example with H-animations, layers come in handy, so I'm going to try and use Aseprite more. Even then, though, I'll still be using GM's sprite editor for most of my work.

      No. It got delayed because I wasted animation time trying trying to program proper random sound in flash, and trying to use other spriting programs. I'll be posting it some time today.

      You need to finish it quick, so you don't have to rush the Fio one. Fio's the best! D':
      I was going to say "I wouldn't mind if you did one every two weeks actually, if you could spend more time on them," but then I realized that you're getting paid per animation, not per week. Can't really ask you to throw away half your patreon income, I guess. =(

      I'm glad you took a few extra days to finish the HIlda one, though. Shows class that you're finishing it up (and getting paid) a few days later, rather than just throwing out something crappy and calling it a day. =)

      Yes. And I would also like to add, that hopefully everybody understands, that things got complicated for you with the flash + the extra animation. Hopefully you can get through it somehow, and then everything will go easier once you laid the framework. Beginnings are always the most difficult :) Fingers crossed
