Taking a break

I'm a bit disappointed with myself lately when it comes to making progress on the game. For whatever reason, I'm just not all that inspired or enthusiastic about it, so development is still slow. It's frustrating being being held back by what is essentially a non-existent problem. So, I'm going to take a break for a bit. And by take a break, I mean I'm going to work on something else for a while, something short.

Basically I'm going to make something slightly different, and release it by the end of the month. I won't go into too much detail, but I will say this, it's not a platformer, the protagonist isn't female, but it's still a RoR hentai game. Except without the running part.

See you then.

And sorry I'm going so damn slow -__-

  1. Random speculation time!

Maybe you play as a monster...

  2. Sorry to hear but despite it, what you bring forth is always gold from what I have seen. Take your time, though perhaps remembering that the possibility of no longer having to punch a clock and work for another may help lol.

  4. So it's RoR, without the R... so... are you still being R'd, then?

  5. Take your time. Whenever it gets done, we will buy it an we will love it. I've got faith in your ability to deliver quality products.

  6. Please do not rush this or any future project. I'm sure I speak for a lot of people here when I say we are willing to wait so that we get a great quality game later as opposed to a rather unfinished and flawed game now. Enjoy your break and as the above comment says, "Take it easy!!"

  8. Don't let the perfect be the enemy of the necessary.

  9. Gonna have to agree with these guys.
I follow a project remaking Metroid II, and I get sick of all the people wanting the developer to rush things xD
A good game takes as long as it takes, and I think breaks are a necessity for a good, quality game~

Good luck, but most importantly...enjoy yourself!

  10. Hey, this is tetsuya. Sorry, I haven't been able to contact you much since I can't seem to get Windows Live Messenger working on my new computer, and you had that email issue.

Anyways, I agree also; take a break. And if taking a break means making something different then by all means go for it.

  11. In the mean time, do you think you could show us some previews of the work you have done?

  12. Have fun. Unwind. Tap into your inner child. Forcing projects for the most part never end well.

  13. This pretty much happens when you do everything by yourself. Unlike Eluku who keeps updating his game once a week at inhumanly fast pace >.>

Ever considered finding more people to assist you in the game? (Oh I'm not volunteering here, just asking)

    1. I update the game everyday. The only difference is that Eluku uploads new versions of the game as he progresses, where as I'll only be uploading it when it's complete.

It has nothing to do with working alone.

That's awesome to hear! Sadly dedication is an increasing rarity in indie games...

  14. Hey Kyrieru, sorry to hear progress isn't going as well as you planned (I'm working a book, so I know what that's like...) Anyway I'll join the consensus that you deserve a break, take your time, and whatever you make, know you have a good sized platoon of fans ready to receive it and encourage you onwards.
